  • As part of your application, you must submit a 3-minute video demonstrating your riding ability and basic tacking skills. The video should clearly show you riding (at suitable paces) and correctly tacking up a horse, including safe handling and preparation.     • DECLARATION: I confirm that all information supplied by me in this Application Form is true and correct and if in the event that I do not hold a current First Aid Certificate I will undertake to complete such a course during the first three months of the programme.
    • The following entry requirements apply:

      * 21 years of age or over

      * Relevant experience of teaching/coaching and instructing.

      * BHS stage 2 or Pony Club B or equivalent experience.

      * Proven experience/interest in working with people with special needs.

      * Participants must confirm that they access to a stable yard/facility in which to practice between Modules Accreditation.

      * Applicants must submit a 3-minute video demonstrating their riding ability and basic tacking skills. The video should clearly show the candidate riding (at suitable paces) and correctly tacking up a horse, including safe handling and preparation. This is to ensure the appropriate standard and safety level for the course.

      * Applicants must be willing and able to work effectively as part of a team. Teamwork is a key element of the course, as students are required to assist in other students’ sessions and and actively participate in a group research presentation.

      * Applicants must have basic IT word processing and email skills e.g. google document or Microsoft word to write and submit assignments.
