Bray Cancer Support Men’s workshop
In early 2008 Bray Cancer Support Centre and St Vincent’s Hospital and the HSE teamed up with Festina Lente to help men with cancer to access support services.
From this a gardening project was developed.
A plot is allocated to the team to use as they wish; to date it has been mainly used to grow vegetables.
During the year the group evolve as they need many a chat has taken place over cups of tea or juice made from vegetables grown on the plot.
Photographs and stories recipes even jewellery has evolved through this group of men. So it is not all about gardening, newcomers are very welcome and no experience is necessary to join.
Please make contact or drop in on Thursday morning 10.30-12.30 to the First office suite in the garden.
