Pony Camps for Children
During all school holidays periods i.e. Mid Term Break / Christmas Holidays / Easter Holidays and
Summer, Festina Lente Riding School organises and delivers pony camps.
These camps are specifically geared to children from the age of 6 years.
The camps are either of 2 or 3 day duration and commence each day at 10.30 and finish at 4.00 p.m. The children ride both morning and afternoon, have stable management lessons both morning and afternoon and some work will be done on the ground with horses/ponies also. This work is specifically included in order to increase the awareness of the rider of the needs of the horse/pony.
Specially chosen games are played with the children. Lunch is supervised. The children thoroughly enjoy these camps and we have learned over the years that they definitely provide parents with very pleasant quiet evenings also!

We also dedicate a percentage of these camps to local voluntary groups within the Bray area who work with children during school holiday periods and would otherwise not be in a position to avail of such a camp.
