During all school holidays (midterm break/Christmas/Easter
& summer) Festina Lente Riding School organises pony camps.
These camps are specifically geared to children from the
age of 6 years.The camps are either of 2 or 3 day duration and commence each
day at 10.30 and finish at 4.00 p.m. The children ride both
morning and afternoon, have stable management lessons both
morning and afternoon and do some ground work with horses
and ponies also. This work is specifically included in order
to increase the rider’s awareness of the needs of the horse or pony.
Specially chosen games are played with the children. Lunch is
supervised. The children thoroughly enjoy these camps and we
have learned over the years that they definitely provide parents
with very pleasant quiet evenings also!
Pony camps are available for both adults and children of all levels.
