Private Riding Lessons Therapeutic Riding Lessons are now available to book!  We are also delighted to be able to offer Equine Vaulting Lessons at Festina Lente.

 

Our Equestrian Centre is closed from 12th – 27th August as our horses are on their holidays!

Festina Lente Equestrian Centre provides a wide range of private and semi-private riding lessons to both children and adults 7 days week and all levels from beginners to advanced are catered for so whatever your interest we have the lesson for you. Lessons can be every week or alternate weeks, whichever suits you best . We have both indoor and outdoor arenas so you don’t have to worry about the weather.  Festina Lente is both an AIRE (Association of Irish Riding School Establishments) and BHS approved equestrian riding school.

 

Our highly experienced and qualified coaches work on the basis of positive reinforcement and where appropriate, use a range of learning aids with an emphasis on fun and learning.

 

A variety of elements can be included in these lessons:

♦ Jumping
♦ Lunging
♦ Dressage
♦ Long-lining
♦ Ground work

 

TherapeuticLessonsWe also have spaces in our Therapeutic Riding Lesson schedule.  Therapeutic riding is a multi area intervention therapy which is used for children and adults with a variety of physical, cognitive, emotional and developmental disabilities.

Festina Lente has also been providing Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) programmes for over 5 years.   It is a process where people work with horses to develop their emotional growth, personal awareness, relationships, and trust.

Equine Assisted Learning is fast becoming both a recognised and innovative approach to assist people of all ages in increasing their levels of self-awareness, and in doing so, facilitating improvements in areas such as :

– Self-confidence

– Personal responsibility

– Boundary setting

– Teamwork

– Communications

– Problem-solving

– Leadership skills
