A group of Anglers from the Saol Anois Program in Festina Lente travelled to Co.Mayo for three days of fishing in November. Based in Cong, the group fished at Killary Fjord, in Connemara on the first day. The group also went fishing on a charter boat in Clew Bay. They are all members of ‘Cill Mhaintain Sea Angling club’. The trip was organised by Wicklow angler, Ian Daly of ‘Fishing Futures’ and John Glynn of Festina Lente. This is the forth year the Festina Lente fishermen have travelled to Mayo, as well as other local fishing spots. Earlier in the year some of the group fished in a national competition at Wexford and won prizes. “Our trip to Mayo was the best yet, we just love going fishing” agree anglers Philip O’ Reilly and Chris King of Festina Lente.
